Nee's Passing on the Third Day of the Spring Revolt
oil, 20" x 16"
Nee was hurled into to the rock during the third day of the Spring Revolt. Like small stones and nearly indestructible, the swallows are living missiles. Diamond called them “little hammers” and for this reason, they were highly desired in the conflict. The death of a swallow only comes by striking the earth where their bodies then become poisonous lyre vine.
Nee is revered in the tales of the corvidae as the hen swallow who rended an eagle in two during the uprising.
